    Dreaming
I remember last year, when our physics tutor, Ms Emily Li, told us that one of the questions in our test paper was actually from her dream. That time, I was quite amused by it. And last night, it happened to me.

    The questions. )

The result of weeks of working OT (overtime)...
Darth Vader: Luke, I am your father!

Luke Skywalker: No... that's not possible!

Vader: It's true! I have your birth certificate. It's stated clearly in black and white, proper documentation. The Emperor has certified it as a true copy and counter-signed on it.

Luke: No, I don't believe you!

Vader: If you don't believe me, we can take the next Duty Spaceship and go to the Death Star Medical Centre and do a DNA test!

    Luke: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......... *falls off*

My Love Will Get You Home

If you wander off too far, my love will get you home.
If you follow the wrong star, my love will get you home.
If you ever find yourself, lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me, my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home.
my love will get you home.

If the bright lights blinds your eyes, my love will get you home.
If your troubles break your stride, my love will get you home.
If you ever find yourself, lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me, my love will get you home.
boy my love will get you home.
my love will get you home.

If you ever feel ashamed, my love will get you home.
When there's only you to blame, my love will get you home.
If you ever find yourself, lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me, my love will get you home.
my love will get you home. boy
my love will get you home.

If you ever find yourself, lost and all alone,
get back on your feet and think of me, my love will get you home.
Boy, my love will get you home,
Boy, my love will get you home,
my love will get you home.

Transport / Commute system in the future...
Random ideas (some are contradictory, but then there's always more than one possibility!)

    1) Umbrellas will be inferior goods, as all walkways will either be sheltered or underground.

    2) The train system will continue to develop and become more extensive. Ridership will increase due to its increased convenience, up till a point where it will fall. The point is when the system gets so confusing that even locals get lost inside.

    3) Traffic lights and zebra crossings are only seen in history textbooks, due to the new n-tier system (where n is a randomly large and constantly increasing integer): basement 2 - trains; basement 1 - pedestrians; ground level - other vehicles.

    4) To improve the public transport, buses may have their own separate level - level 2 & 3.

    5) Green energy will be the 'in' thing. Green cars will rise in popularity and are very affordable too. For the miserably poor, there's always bicycle :D Point (1) applies for bicycle tracks too XD

    6) In view of point (5), trains will also be powered by green energy. All trains will have solar panels fitted on top, that will generate enough power to power the trains and enough extra to use at night.

    7) After installing all the solar panels, the train companies recalls point (3). DAMN!

    8) Traffic accidents only occur between vehicles; never between a vehicle and a human. The latter is known as a security breach in the transport system (refer to point (3)).

    GI JOE
    1) Watched GI Joe with NTPS friends! Hahaha yup and this will be the only time I'll mention this movie in this post (contrary to what the title suggests) hehh

    2) Movie was with Nilawan Jieying and Jenkiat at Cathay Cineleisure. Then after the movie Sixian and Madeleine joined us.

    3) But after a loooong time we still couldn't decide on where to eat. Tried various means, like narrowing down by types of food, by budget, or by calling up people on the way to ask them to TURN LEFT AND LOOK FOR THE FIRST RESTAURANT YOU SEE. All failed. In the end went to the Hong Kong restaurant for 3pm lunch... or rather LUNNER. Think BRUNCH.

    4) Spent half an hour deciding on what to order. Attempted to leave it to chance, by randomly calling a 3-digit number and finding the corresponding dish. Obviously didn't work.

    5) Spent about half an hour eating. And chatted for another 3 hours. IMBA. Dinner time liao.

    6) No one was hungry except Jenkiat (who spoke for about 1-2 hours non stop) but the girls decided to shop for a while.

    7) After shopping for a while we concluded that Jenkiat was really hungry so we went to Fish & Co at The Hereen. He ate while we ordered side dish.

    8) Chatted for damn long too. Took MRT home with Madeleine. Reached home at 10.30pm for dinner :p

    9) My weekends are so much more blog-worthy than weekdays.

    Perspective
One day, a very rich man took his son on a trip to the countryside, to show him how poorer people live. They spent a couple of days living in the farm of a apparently poor family.

At the end of it, the man asked his son, "So how was the trip?"
    "It was great, Dad."
"So tell me, son, what have you learnt?"

    The son answered,
"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."

    The man was speechless.

His son added, "thanks Dad for showing how poor we are."

    Korean drama
Okay I rarely watch Korean drama, and I'm not familiar with the Korean culture and way of life. Only recently I've been watching a particular one. But I'm amazed/shocked by many of the details seen in the show. May I ask if it is just THAT show that is like this, or are these things common throughout South Korea?

    1) Excessive talking to oneself. E.g. "天啊,他是不听我的电话是吗?他以为我很想打给他吗?我才不稀罕呢。不听就不听!" But sometimes, it's not so coherent. One may start a discussion with oneself, like "我为什么要这么做?可是事情都这样了,就这么做吧。但是我就是做不到!" If only everyone speaks out their thoughts so clearly.

    2) Every evening, the housewife will stand at the door waiting for her husband and sons to return from work, like inviting VIPs like that (minus the red carpet)

    3) For a family with 3 people working at 3 different places, almost every evening at least 2 of them will reach home together and say "哦,在门口遇到的。"

    4) For a family living at what seems like a condo, they always park their cars right outside the lobby, not at any viscible parking lots.

    5) This is something I cannot understand at all. The following is the description of a family that is described as a LOW-INCOME FAMILY.

    - It is a family of 4 and they own 3 cars. Only the housewife mother does not own a car.
    - Their main door has a digital lock that can be unlcoked by pressing a button located on the other side of the living room
    - Their unit has 2 storeys and their SMALL AND SQUEEZY room is twice the size of mine. I'm assuming the camera is always placed at the wall and there is no additional unseen space behind
    - The dad apparently has a personal driver

    Please enlighten me, anyone :S

    CHICKEN POX!
Did I mention that I think that video games are one of the greatest evils ever? Whether it's those played on game consoles, on computers or on TVs. Especially those that cannot be paused or progress saved. They capture 200% of your attention, because any distraction may cause you to lose. Therefore, you shut off all your senses from your surroundings. You become oblivious to the surrounding world, the REAL world. The higher level you get, the more you do it, because you just can't bear to replay the whole thing from level 1 again. After the whole thing, you realise hours have just passed. If you actually completed the game, good for you. If not, you would have wasted those hours for NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. You don't even get the sense of satisfaction of winning the game. Totally pointless.

    Random Thoughts of the Day
    1) Rainy days are nice if there are sheltered walkways everywhere.

    2) Except if you're BBQing with huangcheng people.

    3) Ban bottled water in Singapore coz it's environmentally unfriendly.

    4) Singapore tap water is clean and safe to drink. So there's no need to buy bottled water to drink.

    5) But are the pipes clean and safe?

    6) So upgrade the pipes. And ban bottled water anyway. What's so hard about boiling your own drinking water at home and bringing your own bottle out?

    7) If SMRT has enough resources to send personnel around the trains and stations catching people eating and drinking, why can't they (and SBS Transit too) send personnel around bus stops and interchanges to catch people smoking?

    8) Because they are the ones cleaning up the mess caused by the food and drinks, but they are not the one breathing in the 2nd hand smoke.

    9) The new uniform is comfortable and practical, but looks very nuah. The old uniform looks more 帅.

    10) Anyone knows of this western movie about this guy who keeps fainting and waking up and travelling in time to and fro between a time span of 2 years? I think it's 2 years. Please tell me if you know.
